Home Remedies For Swollen Joints And Joint Pains: 

1. Apply honey and quick lime on the aching joint three times a day. Leave it uncovered. If you are applying it to children, use turmeric instead of quick lime. 

2. Cut large brinjal ( eggplant ) into two parts, and dip its cut surface in ghee. Warm it over a hot pan. This brinjal is used for quick relief to foment the aching part of joints. 

3. Extract a thick paste of tamarind by soaking it in some water. Add a teaspoon of turmeric and warm up a little. Just warm it up a little, do not boil it. Add some common salt to it and apply the same to the painting part of the joints. Let it dry overnight. It gives very good results. Try it for at least one week for better results. 

4. Prepare a paste of quicklime, turmeric, fresh garlic paste, mustard oil, and a few pieces of camphor. Apply this paste on the painting part of the joints. It gives a great relief.

5. Take some mustard oil, and add some powdered camphor to it. Massage the stiff joint with it. This mixture helps increase the blood flow and bring down the swelling in affected areas.

6. If there is stiffness in the fingers, take some rock of salt, hold it in the fist, and keep it compressed with your fingers for at least 7-10 minutes two times a day. It helps a lot.

7. Apply a coat of warm mustard oil on the joints. Tie a piece of flannel on it. Do not massage it just apply mustard oil and tie a piece of flannel. It gives good results.

8. Massage the sprained muscle with turpentine or kerosene. It gives relief.

9. Take some mustard oil, and powdered nutmeg, and boil it. Cool it and store this oil and you can use it for relief.

10. Copper-charged water is also very good for relieving painful joints. Store the water in a copper vessel, leave it for a full night, and drink this water first of all in the morning.

11. Take a glass of warm water and a teaspoon of powdered fenugreek seeds. Mix it and drink it every morning. This may bring down the pain and swelling in joints.

12. Take some water and soak a few pieces of licorice in it overnight. Drink this infusion early morning. This is very good for joint pains.
